Met John on my Saturday photo walk. I knew when I spotted him from across the street, that I wanted to ask for a portrait. He was rather keen on getting his photo taken and to talk for a few minutes. Originally from Grand Rapids, John was in Winnipeg to visit his daughter and continued to say that he was now stuck here and didn’t elaborate further instead just laughing. Up north he was a member of the lake patrol which helped rescue people stranded in the water. We parted ways shortly after.
