Slice of Life
It has been a rather busy week! Although I didn’t have a lot of time to take photos – between a hectic schedule and the weather still being a bit miserable at times – I still managed to capture a few images I thought were interesting enough to post on here. I hope everyone has been having wonderful, creativity filled days and is looking forward to an excellent weekend.
Thank you to all who stopped by and read my recent interview with Dalia Daud! I really appreciate the wonderful feedback and I’m sure Dalia does as well! I’ll be doing more interviews in the near future. I’m also going to get my photo contest back on track. I’ll be posting the details soon!
Nice pics! Have a great weekend ahead! Josephine.
Thank you! The weekend was great! :) Hopefully for you too. Was able to get out from the city for a short trip up north.
Nice set. It is difficult to pick a favorite but I like #1 and #3 the most.
Thanks my friend! I really like the shot with the balloons, too :) A lot of vibrancy in that one, I could not resist taking the photo.
I really like the first and the last in this post!
I hope you’ll find more time to photograph and that the weather gets better.
I wish you a wonderful Easter, Mike!
Always appreciated, Malin! I went up north to visit my parents this weekend, so was able to do a little “rural decay” photography which I really enjoy. It snowed a lot most of the time, unfortunately! I hope you had a wonderful Easter as well :)
Great set of images Mike! I really love the first and last one…. Oh heck I like all of them actually!
for Yes thank you everyone for the wonderful feedback regarding the interview, it’s been a great experience :)
And Mike I can’t wait for your next interview series!
Regards
Dalia
Thank you Dalia! I’m happy you like these photos. The last one was inspired by you actually :) When I noticed that shadow of the person, I immediately thought, “this is a Dalia-esque photo!”.
The feedback from that interview was awesome – I’m really happy it generated that much interest.
Thank you Mike, that is so sweet of you :)
A couple of time now I thought of approaching a stranger to ask if I can take their portrait and chicken out at the last minute and thought “Mike would be sailing through”
Oh! Happy Easter!
Love the bright colours in the balloons & children’s outfit!
Thank you Angelina! I like that photo a lot, too :)
Very nice pictures!! :)
Thank you!! :)
I love one and four superb
Both fairly lucky clicks! I didn’t even realize I caught the cyclist until I viewed the photo later! Thank you :)
Such a fantastic series here Mike. :)
Appreciated, Nomzi! :)
Glad you’re doing more interviews, Mike … wonderful. I love this photo, which has a kind of worrisome endlessness about it (which I like). Nice!
Right on, Mark. Thanks! I’m going to start working on the next one soon.
Busy indeed my dear! Wanted to drop in to your beautiful space and wish you moments of divine peace amid the chaos ;) Love these images, very especially the shadow of a person on the wall above barbed wire. Gritty, real, haunting.
Sending joyful vibes your way, Mike ;)
Allison
Thank you Allison! I can accept the chaos, as long as it’s balanced with positive energy and enough moments of happiness and creativity!
I’m about to dig into another busy week, but hopefully can take a few moments to meditate and will definitely be stopping by to get my dose of joyful vibes from you! ;)
You rock! I’ll be thinking of you because this week is turning out to be a doozy for me too – sending peaceful, positive energy your way, friend! :)
All great shots as always :)
