People Watching
In a city as big as Beijing in a country with a population as massive as China, it can be really fun and interesting watching people. Here in Winnipeg, with our comparatively small population, variety of life can be difficult to capture at times – this is one reason I love to travel and explore urban centres around the world.
OMG, the second picture touch my soul! I LOVE it!!
Thank you Dalia! :) I’m happy you like it.
I really do, I love how there’s a contrast between the two walls , one really simple, and the other have personality, culture.
I also love that u gave us a glimpse of the main street, he seems to be taking shelter from the rain,
but the look in his eyes, one might wonder, is it the rain he’s running from? or the main street/the other life, that one is supposed to be a part of?
this picture really set my imagination.
my favorite of your picture so far :)
great JOB!
Thank you again, Dalia! Your encouraging words definitely give me plenty of motivation. I feel this time around, I’ve taken much better images than on previous adventures. I was also quite happy with this photo.
Excellent x 3!!!! Great work, Mike!
Much appreciated Malin! :)
Glorious, Mike! I love the night lighting and how it seems to make the pops of color vibrate. Electric shots, I say. Thank you so much for sharing these!
Peace :) – Allison
Thank you, always, Allison!! I was really happy with the way the colour shots turned out on this trip. I like to think I had something to do with it, although I’m sure a lot of the credit goes to Leica :) I think I only shot a few in B&W.
Seeing your comment always brightens my day :)
great shots! I like the 1st, the eye contact… very powerful!!!
Thank you Paulo! I was happy about that too – was kind of surprised I got the eye contact :)
The second one is really really cool! I <3 Asia but never think of visiting China… You are doing such a marvelous job at capturing pics of some very interesting people of Winnipeg, I sometimes feel like I'm starting to know them. Weird ha?!
I also wrote a post on people watching but in Florida Keys ;) xox
haha…well, I’ve been doing the Winnipeg Street project for about 4 years now and there are people that I see quite often. I’m known as the photo guy by several :) Cheers.
Your first one is for me at least the best in your series, Not that easy to make a good image from a crowded composition in their natural environment , Bart
What a great series ! Love it !
