Beijing Portrait
I noticed this woman from across the street and quickly ran over and approached her; I liked how she was framed in the door way. I asked if I could take just one photo and she gave me a smile and nodded. I was happy the settings were correct and felt this photo turned out rather well.
Turned out extremely well!
Thank you Angeline! :)
Lovely, Mike. Curious…do you speak some Chinese or did universal body language and gestures yield her approval? :)
Thank you Eric! To answer your question, I can speak some Chinese. In cases like this, it helps quite a lot! I haven’t used it in a long, long time, but found it came back rather quickly :)
An absolutely lovely portait of this lovely lady.
Fantastic image, Mike. I love it…
Thank you so much, Malin! Always appreciated.
Ahhh much wisdom in those eyes, those beautiful wrinkles, and that smile. And now I’m smiling, too :) What a story in your photo of this woman, awesome, awesome. Such a textured photograph, love it. How wild that you speak Chinese! I’m quite in awe of anyone who can do that.
Peace, Mike ~ Allison
She had such a wonderful expression I just couldn’t resist! This photo always makes me smile and out of all the images I took in China, this one remains one of my favourites. My Chinese ability was definitely waning but I managed to recall quite a bit after a few days wandering around :)
I adore her smile – well done bringing it out!
Thank you Reverse! I seem to have missed this comment!
fantastic moment !
Cheers, Victor! :)
