Caught in a Rainstorm
Even in a situation like this, it’s good to take the camera out of the bag as you might catch something or someone interesting. Mindy (below) was travelling to Thunder Bay, Ontario and was hoping to catch a few rides along the way; she basically carried everything she owned on her back. Taking refuge from the rain in the same place, I took the opportunity to get a photo.
black and white works well, great photo.
Thank you, much appreciated!
i just got caught in a rainstorm! coincidence?
i was softly laughing just now thinking its been a while since i was that drenched from a rainstorm
nice photos as always Mike!
haha ~ the weather has been crazy lately. Seems we’re getting all our rain now, when it’s supposed to be hot and, well, summery! I’ve been hit a few times lately, and as long as the camera comes out unscathed, I don’t mind getting a bit wet! :) Thank you always, Dalia!
Wow, great photos, Mike! I especially love the first one. Always love a shadow and especially in that gritty puddle. I dig the mystery of a rainstorm.
Hope you are doing well, my dear :)
Peace, always ~
Allison
So happy to see your comment, Allison! Thank you! I didn’t even aim to capture a person walking by – just wanted to catch the rain. However, after I missed the first person who ran by, I got another chance a few minutes later :)
Doing well! Hoping the same for you too!
I really like No 2 and 3…
Hope you’re fine, Mike.
Thank you very much, Malin! She was quite the character and probably could have talked for quite a bit more!
Great shots! The first one is my favorite…it’s so intense and it makes you wonder what happened next…It’s great that the last one is on color…such a drama :)
Cheers, Mojca! I wasn’t too sure about that first shot after reviewing in the camera, but started to like it a lot more when I viewed in on the larger screen at home. As for the last photo, I just love the colours just before a rainstorm, especially if some sunlight manages to peek through the clouds :)
