Winnipeg Street: Alain
A pleasant encounter with Alain, a local real estate executive. I thought the way he was leaning against the building, along with his pretty cool expression and leather motorcycle vest made for a nice portrait. We talked about a number of topics including photography (he’s a Pentax K1000 user), travel and real estate. Super nice guy.
You are quite inspiring! I understand street photographing deeper now. Thanks. Helen
Thank you very much Helen! There are many different avenues one can take with street photography / portraiture; just giving it an initial try is worth it :)
These are beautiful photos Mike! As I have probably said before, I’m a huge fan of black and white portraits. :)
Diana xo
Much appreciated Diana!! I think B&W often gives a portrait more depth and character.
You certainly know your craft my friend! Excellent
Thank you Bob!! I’m always just doing my best; learning as I go along :)
Then you keep on doing just that! my friend! I can assure you that it is working.
Bob
His eyes and smile are so inviting. You captured his essence Mike and I love the images in black and white – great contrast.
Thank you Robyn!! I figured monochrome was the correct choice for these; worked well with the clothing and his hair.
beautiful portraits of this person
Thank you very much!! :)
The use of monochrome here works beautifully. Great portrait :)
Much appreciated, Manal!! :)
Mike, is it already film shots or still digital? Lovely B&W!

Mike! These are such clever photos :) I have missed catching up with your work as I’ve been a wee bit overwhelmed but I always love coming back here. I love this guys smile and the way you capture his expression. Cheers to you my dear friend! :) Rock your weekend!

I started off with the K1000 many moons ago. Good memories.
