No. 3 This is Winnipeg
This might be a familiar scene to those living in Winnipeg – or many other cold, winter cities. The dreaded bus stop! Anyone who has ever had to wait at one during the frigid winter months, will know why I call it dreaded! Although I do drive my car quite a bit, I also take the bus on occasion, but do my best to avoid it in winter :)

Another wonderful shot, evoking strong feeling. The single figures in your night shots… a beautiful commentary on the human condition/loneliness/life and that work to survive.
Thank you Doug! I’m really having fun taking these images. It’s not my typical style of shooting – so definitely a challenge. I think many of us have been those two people in the photo at some point.
Someone who knows real winter will always feel the real cold of a photo like that compare to someone who just experienced snow and thinks it’s winter
Very true, Nelson! I try not to complain about winter anymore, instead just go with it and do the things I enjoy – like photography.
Oh yes, this is a familiar scene ;)
Great work, Mike!
Fun times, right!? Thank you Malin! :)
Hahaha… No. ;)) I want summer now!
I suspect you and some of your readers are looking forward to This is Winnepeg summer shots. :)
haha….I’m worried I might end up enjoying this winter series too much and be bored by summer!! Cheers, Eric.
Burr, taking the bus during the winter anywhere in Canada means standing around in the cold for a while! great photo
Absolutely! There are some stops here that will have a person waiting in the cold for over 30 minutes!
Thank you :)
Calgary isn’t much different! I guess we learn to dress for it. I am out of the country right now and not missing winter!
Oh, I can just feel the cold, Mike!! And there you are, out in it, shooting away :)
Gotta keep plugging away at it :) Supposedly that fresh air does a person good! Not sure though :P
Cheers, Stacy!
I’ll stick by my fireplace, Mike, and enjoy your photos :)
Excellent composition. A True Canadian experience. When the going gets tough, the tough are at a bus stop in Canada in the winter. :)
Wow my bones are so cold looking at this, Mike! But I do so love it, of course. ;)
Wow ! Your photos are amazing ! I follow you !
