Winnipeg Out and About
I’ve lived in Winnipeg for over 10 years now and I have come to appreciate the city after a decade of taking it all in. A great deal of what is captured in Winnipeg is the clean and shiny side of things – festivals and outdoor activities, family activities, the places were many people’s eyes will be focused (which of course, is not a bad thing!). There is however, many other wonderful areas of the city that often go unnoticed but are equally beautiful and photogenic in their own way. The alleyways tucked quietly behind century old architecture, the quiet vignettes of daily life and the juxtaposition of new and old. Winnipeg offers a photographic buffet for those who are willing to seek it out.
Great colors! The last image, the street with the large puddle in the foreground, is particularly beautiful . . . and not a person to be seen!
Thank you! Winnipeg’s downtown is generally pretty quiet, unless there are some summer festivals going on.
Wonderful vibrant shots of your city Mike!
Thank you Patti! :)

Long time did not see you here Mike. It looks you moved your B&W projects to Monochromia. Anyway it is pleasure to see new pictures of your lovely city! Thanks to photographers like you anyone can discover places where’s never been.
Hey Alexander. Thanks for sticking around and leaving a comment! I haven’t been the most dedicated blogger, this is true! :) I’m going to make a real effort to think about content and the direction of this blog in the future. Cheers.
